TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The company Scootacular organizes scooter tours and rentals in the Metro Vancouver Area from May through September. Participation is subject to the client's acceptance of the following terms and conditions:
- For both the scooter tours and rentals, a valid driver’s license (Class 5) or a motorcycle driver’s license (Class 6) is required. All our scooter tours require a valid driver’s license (Class 5) or its international equivalent. For the rental of scooters classified as 50cc or below, a valid driver’s license (Class 5) or its international equivalent is required. For the rental of scooters classified between 150cc and 300cc, a valid motorcycle driver’s license (Class 6) or its international equivalent is required.
- All riders (for both tours and rentals) must be at least 19 years of age.
- Prior experience is advantageous and highly recommended for participating in our scooter tours. Please be aware that we are not a scooter driving school. We reserve the right to deny any participant from taking part in or continuing the scooter tour if we feel the participant is unable to operate the scooter safely. Our decision is final. No refunds are offered. If at any point a participant cannot operate his/her scooter safely, they can ride as a passenger with their partner or with the guide (if available). No refunds for the difference in price are offered.
- An expired driver’s license or digital driver's license will not be accepted and will be considered a no-show. Full payment will be incurred in this case.
- For both scooter tours and rentals, Scootacular provides clients with scooters and helmets that will be delivered in perfect working condition and must be returned by the client in the same condition at the end of the tour or rental.
- Tour participants will be accompanied during the tour by an English-speaking or Spanish-speaker tour guide.
- The tour will not take place in the case of adverse weather conditions or extraordinary events. In each of these cases, Scootacular will process a full refund to the customer.
- In the case of the cancellation of a scooter tour, for reasons other than those provided in the preceding paragraph, the customer is entitled to a refund of the amount paid, or, if the client so decides, the client will be entitled to participate in one subsequent tour scheduled in the following seven days after the cancellation. The replacement tour will be of equivalent value and duration. Should the client decide to participate in a substitute trip, they will renounce any refund claims that they were initially entitled to.
- Participants of a scooter tour affirm that they are entirely responsible for their own actions and that any claim for damages to Scootacular is waived. In particular, clients declare that:
- They are able to ride a scooter safely;
- They are in good health;
- They know the Canadian Traffic Rules.
- Participants must be present at the agreed excursion meeting point 15 minutes before departure. No refund will be provided to individuals who are not present at the agreed meeting time and place, and no refund will be provided to those who lose contact with the group guide or do not complete the tour. A no-show will incur the full cost.
- Both scooter tour and scooter rental clients must present a valid ID (passport or identity card) and a valid driver’s license upon meeting the tour guide/collecting their rental scooter.
- Participants in the scooter tour and scooter rental clients are required to practice common sense, prudence, and diligence, particularly in relation to the equipment provided by the company during the tour/rental, which the participants agree to use at their own risk. Participants have the right to take out and purchase personal insurance to cover potential damages to their person, third parties, or equipment (personal insurance is recommended).
- Scootacular waives all claims for damages made against them and accepts no liability for any damage to the clients, third parties, and equipment caused during tours/rentals.
- The organization does not assume responsibility for the loss of baggage, money, valuables, or other items during the scooter tour/rental.
- Participants will be held responsible for any damage to the equipment provided to them by Scootacular.
- Participants are liable for all damages that Scootacular may endure due to the failure to comply with the above-mentioned obligations.
