FAQ's
Scooters are considered limited speed vehicles and reach a maximum speed of approximately 60 km/h, which means they are not allowed on highways. They also cannot be driven or parked on sidewalks or pathways, and we do not allow scooters or any of our vehicles to be used off-road. Therefore, you can safely ride on the streets of BC for a better experience.
Yes, you can make a reservation by visiting our booking area. Please
note that we have nearly 20 scooters available for rent. On weekdays,
we're likely to have a scooter available for hourly rental without prior
reservation. However, we tend to be busy on weekends and recommend
making advance reservations.
To rent, you must be at least 19 years old. A valid driver's license or novice license is required for all scooter rentals. A valid International Driver's Permit is required for licenses that do not meet Canadian standards. We recommend checking with local licensing offices before traveling to Canada to ensure compliance.
The most important things you will need to rent are a valid driver's license and a credit card. Additionally, you will need a positive attitude and a sense of adventure.
On average, you should be able to travel at least 150 km on a 5-liter tank of gas, however, you should always carefully monitor your gas gauge as consumption will depend on various factors.
We do not have clothing requirements for scooter rentals, although we have some suggestions. In the summer, we recommend wearing jeans or shorts, closed-toe shoes, and bringing a sweater just in case. In spring or fall, you should dress warmly; we recommend bringing a warm waterproof jacket and gloves.
Absolutely! The staff at Scootacular will be happy to show you how. From controls to driving, we make sure you feel comfortable with the scooter before you embark on your adventure, as well as the tutorial videos we have on the website.
If you are not a resident of BC, we require you to have a valid license from your country of origin that allows you to drive a vehicle without supervision. For more information on licensing, visit ICBC.https://www.icbc.com/driver-licensing/moving-bc/Moving-from-within-canada
